K.k. Kraft-auto Truppe
Several posts on this site have commemorated the motoring branch of the armed forces. It is especially worth reviewing the writings of my friend Gábor Széplaki. In one of his writings, we find a photo of a motoring cap badge being worn (here). Since the badge is not clearly visible in the photo, we can only guess which piece it may be.
It is little known that there is another badge with a similar shape but a different badge image and inscription, not only the one presented earlier. This badge also depicts trucks driving on a winding mountain road, but not quite like the other one. According to the inscription, this one was made for the Austrian Landwehr troops. This is what the name K.K. Kraft-auto Truppe refers to, where the abbreviation K.k. refers to the Austrian Landwehr units.

On the left side of the photo presented as a background, a detail of the inscription of one of the vehicles can be seen. The side of the engine compartment was usually inscribed: KuK Kraftfahrtruppe this is mostly seen. But if we read something different on the badge here, it is possible that the engine cover also had an inscription referring to Landwehr.
