IR 82

One of the most beautiful badges, at least in my opinion. It’s no coincidence that I chose this as the header on the home page of the site. The 82nd was Szeklerland’s regiment with command in Székelyudvarhely. The statue of “Iron Szekler” still stands on the main square of the city, commemorating this regiment.

The attached photo presumably shows the officer corps of one of the regimental battalions during a festive lunch. The badge appears in the tunic pocket of one of the officers sitting at the table.
