Kappenabzeichen on postcards

Kaiserjager

The Tyrolean Kaiserjager were units corresponding to the regular regiments of the Kuk in this province with a special legal status. In principle, they could only be deployed to defend Tyrol, but in 1914 a legal loophole was found that allowed the Kaiserjager to be sent to Galicia. After the opening of the Italian front, however, they basically fought on this front section, in accordance with the original regulations.

Like the Feldjager battalions, the Imperial Guards had a horn on their hats and a small horn on their field caps. I will present the latter in this post. I can add a matching letter seal to it.
