Stretcher-bearer

Among the special units I refer to specialists who were applied on the field to solve special problems. Such a problem could be the elimination of technical barriers in the front line, a task for the assault troops. Other specialists were the aviators, pioneers, field ministers and musicians. Of course, treatment of the wounded was also an important specialist task. There are quite a few Kappenabzeichen depicting the work of stretcher-bearers and other health-related tasks.
