I have already described the story of Colonel Viktor Russ here. The hero of Bukovina probably really drove the leaders of the invading Russian military crazy with his raiding party. He also became a legendary figure in the realm of the Monarchy, which is also shown by the appearance of cap badges with his name. This post focuses on a photo of wearing the most beautiful, colorful coat of arms cap badge named after him.

For the sake of order, I will also upload a picture of the colonel, who in the picture may be participating in some kind of training or exercise. This could have happened after his raiders were merged into the regular units of the Papp brigade.
