30,5 (5)
The 30.5 cm Skoda mortar has been featured many times. In this post, I can provide some new details to the previous information. First of all, the correspondence card is new. This bears the stamp of the battery that I wrote about here before, in connection with a wearing photo.
In the previous post, I wrote about how a statue was erected in Istanbul for military nailing, depicting the 30.5 cm gun. Since there is a badge with a Turkish inscription with a picture of the gun, I assume that it depicts this statue. Or the type of gun that served as a model.
I am also attaching pictures of two other badges that have not been featured so far. These are interesting because they clearly show the technical development of the gun. From 1917, the mortar was manufactured with a modified gun mount, as we can see in the opening picture. The picture inserted into the text shows the earlier version.
