Stosstrupp
The “sponge cake” shaped general assault badge is a sought after but not unattainably rare badge. It is included in many collections. However, its variations are much less well-known. Like the postcard decorated with a badge that I recently came across for the first time during my career as a collector.
This post therefore introduces two special features. The card itself is a curiosity. And the badge on it is even more so. Its script is different from the usual. Instead of ‘Sturmtrupp’, it reads ‘Stosstrupp’, which of course means pretty much the same, but still completely unique. Below the tapes it includes a single number: Stosstrupp 1. Although I’ve always only seen it on auction sites, they all had the three double holes for sewing on.
